Having taken a 1-0 lead in the first-half, Spalding looked to be in a world of trouble when the hosts equalised within a minute and had defender, Kieran Doherty, sent-off for an off-the-ball incident. However, such is the resolve of this Spalding United squad that they dug deep and overcame their opponents comfortably enough in the end by a scoreline of 5-1!
