SUFC v Northampton Spencer

On Saturday 12th January 2013 Spalding United entertained Northampton Spencer at the Sir Halley Stewart Field in the 1st Round of the UCL Knockout Cup. A closely-contested match which steadily came to the boil in the second-half and throughout the required extra-time period was finally settled by a single goal, three mintes from the end of extra-time, by the Tulips’ prolific striker, TJ Nightingale. Cogenhoe United will travel to Tulipsville in Round 2, but before that there is the biggest game yet in this season’s calendar – the FA Vase 4th Round match at Ely City on Saturday 19th January 2013.
